Richard Hessler, “Rick” moved to Lafayette, LA in 1976. He attended USL and received a General Studies degree in 1991. Rick became a firefighter in December of 1996, and recently retired in December 2016 from The Opelousas, LA Fire Department after 20 years. Rick started his craft of entertaining children since 1999 with balloon twisting, a unique clown character named “Rickles,” a growing magic show, and stilt walking. Of all the characters, balloon twisting remains his favorite. Rick Hessler is the currently World Record Holder of Balloon Dogs in one minute and is currently working other World Records at this time.
